Everyone’s Life is a Story (Tuesday, June 9; 7 pm)
Everyone's Life is a Story: the importance of preserving life stories, with Kristine Galassi.

The History of the Jersey Shore (Wednesday, June 10; 7 pm)
Have you ever wondered why there is an elephant-shaped building on the beach in Margate? A concrete ship stuck in the sand off Cape May Point? A town named Loveladies? Or Ship Bottom? Author/photographer/New Jersey historian Kevin Woyce did too ... and the result is this colorful tour of our coastal history, from the long-ago days of pirates, shipwrecks, and lighthouses to the founding of today's most popular summer resorts. The slide show includes his original photography of Jersey Shore lighthouses, amusement parks, boardwalks, and hotels, plus vintage maps and images of historic people, places, and events..

Library Board of Trustees Meeting (Wednesday, June 17; 7 pm)

Romeo and Juliet (Saturday, June 27; 2 pm)
"Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare, will be performed by The Next Stage Ensemble, the touring company of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.

In the hot summer streets of Verona, two idealistic teens discover love in a society consumed by senseless brutality. Filled with witty wordplay, lyric poetry and flashy sword-fights, Romeo and Juliet remains one of the most gripping and moving tragedies in Shakespeare's canon.

Off the Wall: An Art Sale Benefit (Saturday, June 13; 2 pm)
Pastels, pen & ink drawings, and photographs by Helen and Ernest Antholis will be on view in the Middletown Township Public Library’s Community Room during the month of June. All artwork will be available for sale through the artists. ⅓ of the purchase price will be donated to the Friends of the Middletown Township Public Library. The artwork will be available to view in our Community Room from June 6-30. An artist reception with pastel demonstration will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 2-4 p.m.

Learn how to stream movies and tv shows, music, ebooks, and audiobooks from the library for free! Bring your Kindles, Nooks, tablets, and other devices. We'll explore the library's many apps and what they can do, set up your devices, and start borrowing!
