France Karras and James Krauss Named Candidates for Borough Council
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - Jack Archibald, Jr. has been named candidate for Mayor of the Borough of Atlantic Highlands and France Karras and James Krauss have been named candidates for the Borough Council, it was announced today by the Atlantic Highlands Republican Party.
“The Atlantic Highlands GOP is thrilled to present this slate of candidates to our residents,” said Municipal Chairman Jane Frotton “They are committed to providing conservative fiscal management, protecting our environment, and maintaining the charm of Atlantic Highlands.”
Archibald, a dedicated public servant, was reelected to his seat on the Council in November. During his tenure on the Council, Archibald has served on every committee. A graduate of Lehigh University, he is currently employed by Fitch Ratings in the public finance department and resides on East Washington Avenue with his wife, Jeanne.
Karras, of Third Avenue, is a member of the Atlantic Highlands Environmental Commission and is a member of the Monmouth County Young Republican Club. She is employed in the regulatory affairs department of New Jersey Resources. Krauss, of Bayside Drive, is Chairman of the Borough’s Environmental Commission and is President of the New Jersey Chapter of the Recreational Fishing Alliance. He is a CPA and a retired partner with the New York accounting firm Anchin, Block, & Anchin LLP. He has continued to work for the firm part time as Senior Advisor.
“I couldn’t ask for better running mates,” said Archibald. “France represents our party’s commitment to reaching out to a new generation of Atlantic Highlands residents and Jim shows that Republicans are serious about responsibly managing our borough finances. We are excited to share our vision of the future with our fellow residents and are committed to making Atlantic Highlands an even better place to live.”
As a member of the Borough Council, Archibald has gained hands-on experience working with the Recreation, Police, Fire and Planning Committees to name a few. He has served as member of the Harbor Commission and is a past Borough Council President.
“Jack Archibald has served our borough in every capacity with distinction, and has vast experience in local government,” Frotton said. “France Karras is a rising star in the Republican Party and is the type of candidate we need serving Atlantic Highlands. Jim Krauss will provide Borough residents with the kind of financial knowledge necessary to run a fiscally responsible community.”
