RED BANK, NJ - "Mike" Jinghuijiang is a 32 years old chef from Fujian, China. He trained in the art of Chinese, Japanese and Sushi cuisines. He moved from China to Wisconsin and worked as a training chief at a family restaurant for two years. Coming to Manhattan he worked for 8 years in Chinese and Japanese restaurants in the downtown area. For the next five years he worked at Yama next to the U.N. serving Asian style cuisine to diplomats from all over the world.
We met at a time when he wanted to get out of NY and live in a more home like environment. Red Bank was it. He came to work at Danny's on October 20th. He is currently designing a new sushi menu and expanding our catering sushi menu.
Who knows, maybe someday we'll have some Mandarin items on the menu.
