Spotlight Events:

Teen Photography Club (Tuesday, September 2; 7 pm)
Interested in photography? Then come to our photography club just for teens! Learn new techniques and share your work each month.

San Gennaro Festival (Sunday, September 7; 2 pm)
During the 1920's, Neopolitan families who immigrated to New York City organized a festival to celebrate San Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples. Here at MTPL, we are going to celebrate San Gennaro with a presentation on Neapolitan culture by Italian-born and Middletown raised Mary Jane Dempsey. Neapolitan refreshments will be served.

Stay Healthy with Grace Conte (Wednesday, September 10; 7 pm)
In this workshop, you will learn about a variety of self-care practices such as centering meditation, healing affirmations, guided visualizations, walking meditation, qi-gong, and tools to nourish the senses (e.g., use of flower essences, essential oils, therapeutic teas and juices).

Laughter Yoga (Sunday, September 14; 2 pm)Laugh Out Loud! Laughter truly is the best medicine. Join us for a Laughter Yoga class where we nurture happiness through the practice of intentional laughter. Come and have fun. No yoga poses. Anyone can do it.

Conquer Cancer: Pillowcase Challenge with Linda Eaves (Thursday, September 18; 2 pm)
Join others to sew pillowcases for children and teens in local hospitals battling cancer.

The Art of Effective Communication: Creating Win Win Dynamics in your Job Search (Wednesday, September 24; 7 pm)
Explore barriers to effective communication and responding to difficult situations or behaviors. Participants will leave this workshop with insights into creating win-win dynamics through better communication techniques and effective responses to conflict.
