MIDDLETOWN – Celebrate the 350th anniversary of Middletown’s founding in 1664 in style at the Middletown 350 Anniversary Gala on Friday, June 20 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at the Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church Street.
This fun, formal evening features dinner, dancing, prizes, a time capsule preview and casino tables. Tickets are $85 and include two glasses of wine or beer. A cash bar is also available. Indoor and tented outdoor seating will be available. Tickets can be purchased online at www.middletownarts.org or in-person at the Middletown Arts Center.
The Anniversary Gala is one of Middletown’s 350 trademark events designed to celebrate the township’s rich history. Middletown Township, one of the oldest English settlements in New Jersey, has been a presence throughout every major historical event that unfolded in American history. From the earliest days of colonization to the American Revolution and the Civil War, up to the post World War II economic boom, Middletown has been a microcosm of American history and pride.
“The gala is a great opportunity to mingle with friends and neighbors at our beautiful Arts Center and toast all that makes Middletown an incredible place to call home,” said Mayor Stephanie Murray, who chairs the Middletown 350 Celebration Committee.
The celebration continues on Saturday, June 21st, with the Middletown 350 Birthday Celebration. The Birthday Celebration is a free, family-friendly daytime event featuring a parade, the burying of the time capsule, entertainment, and birthday cake.
