ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - The Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee and Mayor Fred Rast will host the Annual Mayor’s Ball on Friday, September 26, 2014. This year, the event will be held at the Beacon Hill Country Club. Last year, the money raised went to the Sandy Hook Little League to replace equipment lost in Super Storm Sandy.

The Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee requests proposals for consideration for the 2014 grant distribution. Please send a letter requesting an application to The Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee: PO Box 488, Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716-0488.   All applicants must be verifiable 501(c)3 organizations.

 

Each applicant will be reviewed and evaluated on:

  1. Value to the community
  2. The number of people it will benefit
  3. The verifiable credibility of group requesting the funds
  4. Proof that the project does not have any unreasonable restrictions, prejudices or political biases
  5. A verifiable project plan that includes goals, objectives and a budget

The Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee, conceived by Mayor Fredrick Rast III, was formed six years ago as a non–political organization to raise funds for community organizations that have worthwhile projects or ongoing programs that benefit the area.
