COLTS NECK, NJ - The mission of the Colts Neck Business Association (CNBA) is to be a dynamic regional organization striving to promote growth, prosperity, and quality of life for our members and community and to be the voice for entrepreneurs, representing, advocating, and working to enhance the business environment in Colts Neck Township. Their main objectives are to enhance the relationship between businesses and the community of Colts Neck to maintain the integrity of the "look and feel" that has made the township unique. The purpose is provide new and existing businesses within Colts Neck with the most conducive and supportive atmosphere to contribute to their potential success.

As the organization enters into its 8th year, The CNBA ushered in its new slate of officers for 2014. Anna Appolonia of Heritage House Sotheby’s Realtors will lead the organization as president, assisted by Vice Presidents Gregory Calderaro of Morgan Stanley & Carolyn Burtnick of Community Magazine. The Executive Committee is also comprised of Secretaries Patty Vollherbst of Colts Neck Computing & Alison Antenucci of Burns Brothers Custom Carpentry. The organization’s Treasurer is David Sokoler of Merandex Technology Solutions.

One of the Monmouth County’s premiere business events of the season is the annual CNBA Luncheon held at Trump National Golf Club. This year’s event will be held on Tuesday March 25, 2014. Businesses from Colts Neck and surrounding areas come to share and celebrate stories of success and spend quality time at one of New Jersey’s most prestigious venues. Mark your calendar, as this event sold-out two weeks in advance last year and promises to be even more impactful in 2014!

Thank you to Monica Vermeulen for organizing our annual 2013 Colts Neck Holiday Window Painting event with the students of Colts Neck High School. This year’s winners are: First place was Emily Jacoby and Leona Kang for the Capital Paint Center window. Second place was Abby Letson, Anthony Gargiulo, Elissa Scano, Nicole Sperling and Taylor Urso for the Becker Hardware window; and third place was Cara Bieber and Nada ElAwdan for the DeFalco Realty window. A very special thank you to our cadre of artistic judges for their time and talent in evaluating the entire field of entrants - Jerry Amos of Jerry Amos Photography, Dan Fenski of Windsor Gallery and Carolyn Burtnick of Community Magazine.

Annually, the CNBA publishes both the town’s Colts Neck Township Map as well as tri-annual seasonal mailers. The seasonal mailers are distributed to all the residents in the town, as well as to visitors and customers of local establishments and serves as a directory of the myriad of goods and services available from members of the CNBA in and around Colts Neck.

Each month at the CNBA General Meeting, a guest speaker informs and educates the filled room with items and topics relevant to businesses large and small. This is done to add value and always makes for interesting discussion and Q&A. This month’s speaker was Rich Yaeger of United Counties Insurance Group who imparted his experience and knowledge on the changing landscape and managing business risks through insurance.

CNBA Membership dues for 2014 are now due. In order to be included in the annual Colts Neck Map and the three seasonal mailers you must be a paid member. Annual dues are only $50 and can be paid on-line at www.ColtsNeckBusiness.org .

The Colts Neck Business Association welcomes all to our General Meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Colts Neck Public Library (1 Winthrop Road - behind Town Hall).
