The Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2013 Board of Directors and Officers.  This voluntary group will continue to strive in its efforts to enhance the business environment of and the surrounding community.

The 2013 slate of officers include:  Chuck Lero of Two River Community Bank, President; Mickey Rast of Weichert Realty, Vice President and Jane Olcott of Better Homes and Garden Realty, Treasurer.  The Board Members for 2013 are:  Marc Fragale of EMedia Nation; Chris Kousouris of Town and Surf Diner; Bob Sherman of and Sons Jewelers and Meridith Paltz of Vintage Variety Shop.

The Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce has many exciting events planned for 2013, including:

The Taste of Atlantic Highlands on Sunday, June 2, 2013.  It will be an exciting culinary tour of and vicinity where you can sample a cornucopia of wonderful foods at area restaurants and get a chance to visit stores that offer unique wares.  Free transportation by The Great American Trolley will be available.  It will stop at all locations on a “hop on – hop off” basis. It will start at Noon and run until 5:00PM. Tickets will be available at various locations beginning in May.

The Classic Car Show will be held on June 15, 2013. This very successful event is back by popular demand.  There will be something for everyone including musical entertainment, automotive and local vendors displaying their wares,  Registration for car owners begins at 8:00AM.  The rain date is June 22nd. The show is FREE to spectators.

The Farmer’s Market will be back on starting on Friday, May 10, 2013 and running every Friday from Noon - 6:00 PM until September 6, 2013.  It will be held in Veteran’s Park, across from Borough Hall. As always, the Market will be open in time for Mother’s Day and will offer an assortment of flowers and plants for spring planting. There will be an assortment of produce, herbs, honey, pickles and relishes, ethnic products, baked goods and more! Rated one of the thee top Farmers Markets by Monmouth Health and Life.
