HIGHLANDS, NJ - Volunteer groups from around the country have come to the Jersey Shore to lend a hand in relief efforts.  Among the most joyful of the groups are the Mennonites who have come to Highlands to help in the cleanup and restoration of homes.  Large groups working to clear debris from homes; working on roofs and walls and porches. So cheerful was one group, that they were overheard singing by a resident. "And what a lovely sound it was.  They sing like Angels!" said the Highlands homeowner.  One word, led to another and soon the group was convinced to perform for the non-denominational Community Worship Service, held on Sundays at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church.

On Sunday, December 16, 2012, at 12:30 p.m., the Mennonites will sing for the congregation during the Worship Service.

Everyone is invited to come and take a break to see, welcome and thank The Mennonites for coming to help in the cleanup of the community.
