Steve Riley of Dietz & Watson writes:
They say two heads are better than one. Well four Philly companies came together and developed a Philly Cares program to aid Hurricane Sandy workers, volunteers and victims with boxed lunches. Spearheaded by Philadelphia based deli meat and cheese company Dietz & Watson, the first delivery of 300 lunch packages will take place tomorrow at the Highlands Fire Department and will help feed volunteer relief workers, fire and EMT personnel as well as residents that were hardest hit.
The four companies involved and donating product are Dietz & Watson, Tasty Baking Company, Herr's and Wawa.
The coalition is asking organizations hardest hit to reach out for help with requests for boxed lunch deliveries by emailing requests to Philly Cares at SandyLunches@DietzAndWatson.com.
