Prior to the official dedication, the Library opened for business in its newly-renovated location in Borough Hall at 9 a.m., Monday, April 23. The Library closed its Avenue C location on April 9 to begin moving to its new home.
Monmouth County Library Commission Chair Renee B. Swartz speaks to the audience.
The Borough Hall location offers the Library more space, including separate children’s and youth sections, and an activity room for programs. The former Library in the old Borough Hall was approximately 1,800 square feet – the new Library has more than double that space at 4,000 square feet, according to Atlantic Highlands Borough Administrator Adam Hubeny.
