MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Get creative at your library!  We're celebrating Geek Out Your Library Week for teens at the Middletown Township Public Library, and will be hosting a video creation contest March 6-8th, 2012.

Come to the computer lab with a flash drive with pictures and ideas for creating your own five minute video. We have cameras for use and digital editing programs. The theme of the videos is "Library on the Go" which can incorporate the library's digital resources, patron testimonies, library pics, etc. There will be librarians to lend a hand but registration is required at www.mtpl.org. There is a maximum of 18 participants per session. This project is for ages 12 and up.

The winning entry will be posted on the library website and the town's cable station. The winner will receive (one) grand prize of an e-reader!

All entries are due by Friday, March 9th.  For more information, please visit www.mtpl.org.

The event will take place in the library's Computer Lab at the library's main branch at 55 New Monmouth Road, Middletown, NJ 07748.  Funding for this program comes from the generous support of the Middletown Township Public Library Foundation, Inc.
