The annual fundraiser began more than fifty years ago as a small poolside summer fashion show and has grown to include residents from across

“We are very grateful to the auxiliary for its continued support of FCS,” D’Elia said. “Throughout the years, they have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for FCS, benefiting untold numbers of individuals and families in need.”
This year’s luncheon, organized by auxiliary members Pam Tanis of Holmdel and Elizabeth Moody Schmalz Ferguson of Colts Neck, included a fashion boutique, 50/50 raffle and a chance auction with dozens of personal beauty, spa and home decor gift baskets.
Always a highlight of the afternoon, the fashion show, provided by Le Papillon boutique in Rumson, featured a collection of the latest spring jackets, purses, scarves and accessories designed to complement the basic black, white or ivory wardrobe. Assisted by Le Papillon staff, the models, mostly auxiliary members and FCS staff, moved through the dining room, modeling the collection to the delight of the guests. All items were for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to FCS.
For the first time, luncheon guests left with a party favor – a wrapped chocolate chip cookie provided by the local Panera Bakery Café. Panera Bread has designated FCS its Operation Dough-Nation® partner in 2010 and 2011, pledging thousands of dollars in support through its Community Breadbox ™ program.
