RED BANK, NJ – Red Bank RiverCenter hosted their second Gingerbread Walk during the holiday season and it was enjoyed by many!
RiverCenter, the not-for-profit downtown management organization, went out in search of local bakers, restaurants, caterers and local schools, who were willing to donate their time to create unique Gingerbread creations. They were then showcased at a Red Bank business where their Gingerbread creation was displayed from November 26th until December 22nd.

In each participating location, visitors had the opportunity to enter a Red Bank Grand Prize raffle which included an overnight stay at The Oyster Point Hotel, tickets to the Count Basie Theatre and a $300 Red Bank Gift Cheque Shopping Spree! Congratulations to Jackie and Dan O’Leary of Brick who were the Grand Prize Winners! Their name was randomly drawn among hundreds of entries from all of the participating businesses. They came to Red Bank with their three children specifically to take the Gingerbread Walk and enjoy the Classic Horse and Carriage ride. While spending the afternoon they visited their favorite store Jay and Silent Bob’s and stopped into Zebu for a treat.

A RiverCenter judging committee viewed all of the Gingerbread creations and unanimously voted for Sugarush’s Gingerbread House which was showcased at Carter and Cavero Old Olive Oil Company which is located 19 Monmouth Street. Sugarush is the new cupcakery and sweet shop located at 37 East Front Street.
The Gingerbread Walk also supported a great cause for one of the area’s most giving charity organizations, Holiday Express. Our generous Red Bank businesses collected donations for Holiday Express in support of their wonderful work during the holidays.
