“23 Photographers: An Exhibit Curated by Laury A. Egan”
SHREWSBURY, NJ - On Saturday, May 8, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., the Guild of Creative Art is pleased to announce the Opening Reception for an unusual show, 23 Photographers. The exhibit is curated and organized by Laury A. Egan, who also serves as an instructor to these artists, many of whom have extensive professional résumés. The 90 images on display were chosen for diversity of subjects, compositional and technical excellence, and originality of concept. All photographs are museum-quality, archival inkjet prints; many are oversized in format.

Participating photographers are Marilyn Baldi, Sally Behler, Pasquale Cirullo, Vicki DeVico, Laury Egan, Jim Ferris, Jean Finnila, Ann Green, Lynda Griffith, Robert Grunke, Nancy Harrison, Dee Beattie, Nancy Klein, Trudy Maran, El McCarthy, Joan Myers, Bruce Nelson, Jay Petersen, Jim Powers, Susan Quinn, Jill Saari, Paul Staniforth, and Warner White.
Laury A. Egan teaches photography classes privately; at the Guild of Creative Art, where she serves as president; and, formerly, at Brookdale Community College. She received a BFA in graphic design/photography from Carnegie Mellon University and has published photographs in multiple books, worked as a freelance photographer for all Lincoln Center organizations, and has exhibited throughout the tri-state area. She has been listed in Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who in American Art.
“Figures & Fable” sculpture exhibit by Mira Welnowska
Ms. Welnowska is an accomplished sculptor who works in the Realist Tradition. She has studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, the New York Academy of Figurative Art, the Art Students League, and, currently, at the Academy of Art University in California. Her extensive arts education allows her to undertake virtually all classical and figurative forms.

The public is encouraged to come see this unique exhibit of photography and sculpture. The show runs from May 1 to 26, 2010 at the Guild of Creative Art, 620 Broad Street (across from The Grove), Shrewsbury, NJ. There is no admission fee.
