Join us for an enjoyable evening of music from Handel's Messiah - highlights from Parts 2 and 3 - followed by a lovely light reception. For those seeking to continue the festivities - close proximity to shore town attractions!

Attendees are invited to sing all the choruses. Of course there's no need to sing, come to enjoy the music and experience the joy and energy of the Hallelujah Chorus while in the midst of a 100 voice choir.

We are excited to welcome these wonderful soloists:

Christina Rivera - soprano
Dr. Jody Doktor - mezzo-soprano
Sean Fallen - tenor
Paul An - bass
Shea Velloso - organ

Did You Know?

Handel’s Messiah has a beautiful tradition of charitable giving.  The 1742 premiere of Messiah benefitted three charities: prisoners' debt relief, the Mercer's Hospital, and the Charitable Infirmary.  The premiere raised around £130 (nearly $27,000 in today’s money!) for each of the three charities – £130 was enough to release 142 indebted prisoners!

Handel’s annual benefit concerts for London's Foundling Hospital – a home for abandoned and orphaned children — always included Messiah.

His total estate was assessed at 20,000 pounds, which made him a millionaire by modern standards. He left the largest portion of his fortune to charities and much of the remainder to friends, servants and his family in Germany.

Let’s continue this beautiful tradition of charity!  We’ll be accepting donations on behalf of our St. Vincent de Paul Society during our Messiah Sing Along, Friday, June 22 7PM.

You’re invited to bring any items you may wish to donate.  There is a particular need for cleaning and paper products (which cannot be purchased with food stamps) as well as gift cards.  However, the SVDP will be happy to accept anything you wish to donate, including cash donations.

Remember, your contributions provide direct relief to the poor and suffering among us.
