Lincroft Presbyterian Church Hosts Book-Signing Evening, Tuesday, April 19, 7:30 p.m.
Lincroft, NJ — Infertility, death of a 23-year marriage, caring for ailing relatives, and raising two sons alone, one with severe autism, would bring most of us to our knees. For Vicky Baker falling to her knees in prayer was the only way to find her way out from depression to a place of hope and joy.
Join Lincroft Presbyterian Church’s Book Group (www.lincrorftpc.org) for an author presentation and discussion of The Making of Faith (www.victoriabaker.net) with author and Middletown mother of two, Vicky Baker, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
“Our book club always looks for interesting books to discuss from a variety of authors and genres. Vicky’s journey spoke to many of us, giving peace, hope and even resources, that take us from the darkest places back to light,” says LPC Book Group Leader Susan Guhse.
Vicky’s inspiration came from a voice within her to tell her to share her story and help her work through the difficulties of facing divorce, autism, overwhelming school obstacles, raising two sons, taking care of ailing parents and more of life’s curveballs. Throughout it all, her unwavering faith in God, kept her sane and able to rise above her circumstances to find a place of healing and hope. Vicky emphasizes, “The book is not about me…it’s about God working in our lives.”
