13 Minutes packs the power of a story rooted in historical truth. The 1939 attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler at a meeting of Nazi leaders failed when Hitler left the meeting 13 minutes early. This story of Georg Elser, a local Munich carpenter, is a compelling historical footnote that missed by just 13 minutes being the most important event of World War II. This finely crafted German movie is tough to watch but worth every minute as we think about how different history would have been if Elser had succeeded.
Many thanks to our sponsors MedExpress Urgent Care, Seastreak, Merrill Lynch and Vermont College of Fine Arts for their generous support.
