RED BANK, NJ - Open call auditions for Phoenix Productions’ revival of White Christmaswill take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 10th and 11th from 7 to 9pm, and on Saturday, September 14th from 10am to noon. All roles are open and will remain so until the close of auditions.

White Christmas is based on the perennial classic movie that starred Bing Crosby. It tells the story of two GIs who become song-and-dance stars and a General who retires to run an inn (badly) in Vermont. When the inn sputters, the GIs mount a rescue effort and save the day. The Irving Berlin score abounds in well-known, well-loved classic melodies that give rise to spectacular production numbers. Thus, dancers who sing and singers who dance are needed for the cast.

The Phoenix show will be directed by Anthony Greco, with musical direction by Bob Sammond and choreography by Drew Wilfred. Auditionees should prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show. They should also bring clothing suitable for an intense dance audition.

Auditions will be held at the second floor studio of the Count Basie Theatre, 99 Monmouth Street in Red Bank. The first rehearsal will be on Saturday, September 21st. Performances will be at the Count Basie Theatre beginning November 15th.
