For In Motion Art Show
All Entries Must be Received on June 3rd and June 4th

Middletown, NJ – The Middletown Arts Center (MAC) invites artists 18 and older to submit works of art in all media with a theme of movement to the In Motion Art Show sponsored by Ballroom Journey. The exhibition will be on view from June 6th through June 27th, 2013 with an opening reception to be held in the Middletown Arts Center Gallery on Thursday, June 6th from 7 to 9 p.m. All are welcome to attend this free event. Light refreshments will be served.
All entries must be received on Monday, June 3rd, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday June 4th, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. An entry fee of $5 per submission is required to cover exhibition costs and there is a limit of 5 entries. All entered works of art will be displayed, but work unsuitable in subject matter may be rejected at the discretion of the MAC Executive Director. Works to be hung must be display ready, suitably framed and wired for hanging. Entries improperly prepared for hanging will not be accepted. Artists are invited to submit a brief biography and promotional items along with their work. All work must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition from June 6th through June 27th, 2013. Ballroom Journey is offering a prize of a $100 gift card to the Middletown Arts Center for the Best in Show winner (independent judges will review all work). During the reception, Richard Givney and Tanya Belikov, certified ballroom dance instructors and former professional competitors, will teach a brief dance lesson and award the winner. Middletown Arts Center gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; and Sunday by appointment. The award winning Arts Center’s beautiful, spacious gallery is open free of charge to residents, school, community groups and visitors from across the region. The Middletown Arts Center is located at 36 Church Street in Middletown, NJ (next to the Middletown train station). Free parking is available on site with additional free parking available in station metered lot weekday evenings after 6 p.m. and weekends.
