ASBURY PARK, NJ  – The ShowRoom Cinema today announced it will commemorate its brand new, from-the-ground-up movie theater with a month-long celebration starting the weekend of February 2. Movie-lovers and entertainment fans are invited to experience the venue's 75- and 25-seat theaters, as well as its second-floor screening room, at a number of film screenings, live performances and special events throughout the month.

The grand opening celebration will kick-off on February 2 with the premiere of the Dave Grohl-produced documentary "Sound City" and the fifth installment of the theater's renowned comedy series, "Saturday Stand-up at The ShowRoom." Headlined by Gordon Baker Bone and featuring live performances from New York City comics Jamarr John Johnson, Kate Wolff, Brett Druck, Vinnie Pagano and Sarah Smallwood, the stand-up event will be emceed by The ShowRoom's in-house host Fred Austin.

Additional highlights of The ShowRoom Cinema's celebratory grand-opening events occurring throughout February include:

•$5 Movie Mondays: All Monday movie screenings will be $5 throughout February

•Cinema Studies Tuesday: Movie-goers who present a valid student ID will charged a discounted $5 admission fee every Tuesday throughout February.

• "The ShowRoom is for Lovers" Valentine's Day ticket promotion: Movie lovers struck by cupid's arrow can enjoy $14.00 couples' tickets on Valentine's Day.

•Screenings of the 2013 Oscar-nominated Shorts: As a prelude to Hollywood's biggest awards night, The ShowRoom Cinema will screen the 2013 Oscar-nominated Shorts in the live action, documentary and animated categories. The screenings will include audience predictions for which nominees will win big on Oscar night.

•Oscars Pre-Party with Blue Hawaii Vintage: On Oscar Sunday, February 24, The ShowRoom Cinema will partner with Blue Hawaii Vintage, a boutique vintage clothing store, to roll out the red carpet with an Academy Awards pre-party complete with old-world Hollywood garb.

•Promotional Giveaways throughout the month of February
