Children’s film by former long-term NJ residents to be screened at upcoming children’s film festival in Manasquan, NJ.

Billie Speare, a 20 minute short directed by Jodi Carol Harrison and produced by Sarah L. Taylor, is the story of an eleven year old who transforms herself and inspires others with her beautiful and creative spirit. The film deals with the serious issues of bullying and loss of a parent and conveys a message of hope and acceptance. The filmmakers encourage viewers not to miss the bonus scene following the credits. Harrison and Taylor were friends and neighbors and began collaborating while living in Lake Cushetunk Woods, Whitehouse Station, NJ. They are thrilled that Billie Speare will be part of a NJ film festival.

KIDZ FILMZ, presented by The Asbury Park Press will take place at the Algonquin Arts Theatre, 173 Main Street, Manasquan, NJ 08736, Feb 8-10. Billie Speare will screen Sunday, February 10 in the 3:30 pm program.
