Middletown, NJ (June 18, 2012) - The Middletown Township Cultural and Arts Council (MTCAC) in conjunction with the Middletown Recreation Department is proud to present the 2012 Middletown Summer Concert Series. Generously sponsored by the Middletown Township Education Association (MTEA), this year’s series boasted an exciting new lineup of acts to perform four FREE, family-friendly, outdoor concerts throughout the summer season.

The concerts will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. every other Thursday beginning July 12th on the lawns of two new locations: the Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church Street in Middletown, and Croydon Hall, 900 Leonardville Road in Leonardo. 

The Middletown Summer Concert Series Schedule:

               • July 12th:  Jennifer Mylod (Middletown Arts Center Lawn)

               • July 26th:  The Del Angels (Middletown Arts Center Lawn)

               • August 9th:  Funktion 11 (Croydon Hall Lawn)

               • August 23rd:  RB Express (Croydon Hall Lawn)

About the Performers

Jennifer Mylod’s unique musical style and flair shine in her renditions of contemporary folk music and traditional Irish tunes, as well as in her own material. Originally trained in classical music on the cello, Jennifer shifted her abilities to the fiddle after being captivated by the passion and life of Irish music. New Jersey’s Premier 40’s, 50’s and 60’s singing group, RB Express, exemplifies the tight harmonies and rhythms of early street corner doo-wop. RB Express features the vocal talents of: Ernie Lackey (bass), Mike DelFranco (first tenor), Rick Davis (lead vocals), Pat Moschetto (baritone) and Ray Block (second tenor).
