RED BANK, NJ - Music lovers are invited to join the Monmouth Civic Chorus at its Spring Soirée, a gala dinner with entertainment. Guests will enjoy a chamber music recital by Vladislav Kovalsky and friends, a four-course dinner with cash bar, and a silent auction to benefit the Chorus.

The event is on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. at the Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune, NJ. Early-bird reservations are $75 per person if received by April 2. Vladislav Kovalsky, a pianist of prodigious musicianship and superb technique, is an internationally known concert pianist, one of the few pianists to be honored for his achievements with the designation of official Steinway Artist by Steinway & Sons. In addition to his performance experience, Mr. Kovalsky has to his credit publications, lectures, and recordings of the Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey. Since 1998, he has served as Executive/Artistic Director of the Monmouth Conservatory of Music.

The Monmouth Civic Chorus has brought the finest in choral music to audiences around the world since 1949. The Chorus has been called “close to perfect” and “among the very best in the entire Northeast” (Asbury Park Press). The Chorus has offered acclaimed performances of new works by living composers as well as traditional great choral works, under the direction of Dr. Mark Shapiro, who is concluding his 21-year tenure as Artistic Director this season.
