RED BANK. NJ - Phoenix Productions will celebrate its 25th year of award winning musical theatre with a gala evening of music and memories on Saturday, February 25, at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. Dubbed “25 Years of Phoenix”, the evening will include a VIP cocktail party at 6pm, a silent auction featuring theatrical memorabilia at 7pm, musical entertainment featuring past Phoenix performers and performances at 8pm, and a meet-the-cast reception at 10pm.
The silent auction will include show tickets to Broadway, Papermill, Count Basie and Two River theatres as well as autographed posters, scripts and other memorabilia. In additon, dozens of other valuable items will be up for auction – silently.
The musical entertainment portion of the evening features a cast of more than 40 of Phoenix’s best performers from years gone by reprising showstopping musical numbers from more than 30 of Phoenix’s best shows -- from Rodgers and Hammerstein classics like South Pacific and Oklahoma! to Andrew Lloyd Weber & Tim Rice hits like Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita. The performance will also include numbers from Tony award-winning modern Broadway musicals like Hairspray, The Producers and Legally Blonde.
