RED BANK, NJ - The Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival has been relocated and renamed. The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation, which produced the Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival for many years, is presenting this year‘s Festival up and down the Monmouth County shore area at three locations on three different dates. The annual event which has become an award‐winning New Jersey tradition, is now called the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Festival, a series of three full-day events presented in Middletown on July 23, in Long Branch on August 27, and in Asbury Park on September 17.

Each date in the Festival series will feature six of the best jazz and blues bands from Jersey’s treasure trove of jazz and blues musicians, along with food, crafts, and family activities. The Festival will continue to be offered free to the public, and in addition, it will feature several new treats for the audience, such as a craft beer and wine garden at the Middletown & Asbury Park performances, and fireworks at the Long Branch performance. The three featured performers are Ron Sunshine & His Orchestra, the Lionel Young Band, and The Pat Karwan Band (a complete list of performers is below).

JSJBF (Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation) will continue offering the Festival as a free event. “This festival has been the premiere jazz and blues event in Monmouth County for years. Keeping the music free to the public was more important than staying in Red Bank where the costs to produce the Festival had become prohibitive,” said Dennis Eschbach, JSJBF Festival Chairman. “Last year Red Bank’s Marine Park was not available because of renovations, so we moved down to Monmouth Park. Now we like the idea of spreading out. So this year we’ll perform in three locations. It will make it easier for more people to attend, and the thousands of jazz and blues lovers who attend every year will appreciate the variety of venues along with the ease of parking.”

The JSJBF is a tax‐exempt, 501(C)3 non-profit corporation and would like to thank all the sponsors, venders, crafters, and the jazz‐and‐blues‐loving public who help us produce the Festival. JSJBF programs are made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and by funds from the National Endowment for the Arts. JSJBF receives support from Ocean First Foundation, the law firm of Borrus, Goldin, Foley, Vignuolo, Hyman & Stahl, P.C., and RBC Wealth Management of Red Bank.
