Celebrate the Chinese New Year at the New Jersey Youth Asian Dance Troupe’s “New Year’s Wish” Performance

Middletown, NJ – The Middletown Arts Center (MAC) invites the general public to welcome in the Chinese New Year on Sunday, January 30th from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m., with an interactive performance by the New Jersey Youth Asian Dance Troupe that features lively traditional dances, music, folk tales, legends, riddles, fortune-telling, games, and themed prizes. Come enjoy the festivities with your family and friends and make your wishes come true this New Year!

Performance admission is $5 for Middletown Arts Center members and $8 for non-members. Tickets may be purchased by calling 732-706-4100, or at the MAC ticket box at 36 Church Street (next to the Middletown train station) in Middletown, NJ.
About the NJ Youth Asian Dance Troupe (NJYADT)
Founded in 1998 by professional choreographer and dancer Ms. Wei Yu, NJYADT is comprised of young talented Asian-American dancers that are actively engaged in arts and cultural education in the greater NJ community. The Troupe participates in cultural, charitable, and self-sponsored events as it provides audiences of school children, families, and professionals with appropriately targeted programs and workshops that offer historical cultural context. Under the instruction of Wei Yu, the Troupe has received numerous awards including the Essex County Arts “Outstanding Artistry Award” in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
