Holiday Gifts Collected for Local Families in Need
Red Bank, NJ – In the spirit of the holiday season, The Community YMCA is hosting their annual Adopt-a-Family program along with local businesses and volunteers, to provide holiday gifts, toys and books to area families in need.
To support the Y’s Adopt-a-Family Holiday Drive, community members can call to adopt a family or child and help provide clothes, toys or gift donations from their wish list. Donations will be matched with local YMCA families from now until December 17th. Both business and individual support is needed.
Recipients of the program are carefully screened. Families are located through The Community YMCA’s Counseling and Social Services branch, which serves over 1,600 kids and families in Monmouth County with counseling, foster care support and mentoring programs. Gifts are personally delivered, and all donations are tax deductible.
Supporting the Y’s annual holiday drive for more than 10 years is Maser Consulting of Red Bank. During this time, the staff of Maser Consulting has made many wishes come true for local families.
“The Y’s Adopt-a-Family program is such a worthwhile effort, and our staff is pleased to assist the Y each year in providing gifts for families that are struggling during the holiday season,” said Richard Maser, President of Maser Consulting.
The Community YMCA will also be hosting a Giving Tree at the Y’s Family Health & Fitness Center, 166 Maple Avenue, Red Bank. Starting on November 29, Y members and the community are encouraged to stop by and take a tag to purchase a gift for a child in our local community. All wrapped gifts need to be returned to the Y by December 17th.
