HOLMDEL, NJ —  Make this season a merry one by heading out to the parks and enjoying several free activities the Monmouth County Park System has planned this December.  They are as follows:

Candy Making Demonstration

Saturday, December 4 from 1-3pm

Historic Longstreet Farm, Longstreet Road, Holmdel

Jerry Smith will be visiting the out-kitchen and demonstrating the art of candy making. Using molds passed down from his family, Jerry will be creating tasty chocolate delicacies.

SURPRISE! It’s a Shark

Saturday & Sunday, December 4 & 5 from 10am-4:30pm

Make a paper shark while discovering facts about extinct and living sharks.

The Sounds of Christmas

Enjoy tranquil music as Larry Mosser and Mary Nagen play Christmas carols on the hammered dulcimer and fiddle.

Enjoy an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas at Longstreet Farm! Get into the spirit of the holiday during a visit with Santa. Parents are welcome to bring a camera to capture the moment. Afterwards, tour the farmhouse and enjoy a cup of cider.

 

Snowman

The Monmouth County Park System is celebrating its golden anniversary of keeping the county green and livable, since the Board of Chosen Freeholders created the first county park in 1960.
