SHREWSBURY, NJ - On Sunday, November 14th, 2010 Mix't Salon, along with other local businesses will host a Cut-A-Thon and Beauty themed charity event at 800 Broad Street in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. This fall themed event will feature salon services such as haircuts, blow-outs, spray tans, and makeup applications for a tax deductible donation of 40$ each to the Children's Specialized Hospital. In addition to the beauty services, there will be gift raffles, door prizes, and food.
Our goal is to raise as much as possible to donate to the Children's Specialized Hospital for their daily and Holiday 2010 activities, and for supplies such as clothing, sundries, toiletries, and toys. 100 percent of the funds raised during this event will go to CSH. All donations will be tax deductible. We would also like to garner interest in the community to CSH and their purpose, while making an enjoyable afternoon for our guests.

Children's Specialized Hospital is a preeminent provider of rehabilitation for children with special needs for over 119 years. It is the largest free standing pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the United states, and serves children across the country and even globally affected by brain injury, spinal cord dysfunction and injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life changing illnesses. This year, CSH seeks monetary donations for their Long Term Care Unit, where children with special needs live so that they can receive the round the clock care that their families cannot provide them on their own. The CSH Foundation collects these donations and uses them to sponsor a Holiday Event for the children to enjoy, while also continuing to give tender loving care and support by providing items like pajamas, clothing, toiletries and toys that are specially adapted for children with special needs.
