Volunteering fun, flexible and rewarding
FARMINGDALE, NJ - The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is looking for volunteers to work with girls throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties.
Volunteers of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore help girls achieve their dreams each year through a multitude of Girl Scout programs and activities. They are the backbone of the Girl Scout movement and the key to the delivery of the Girl Scout program. As mentors to girls, volunteers are instrumental in helping girls build self-esteem and leadership skills.
While the number of girls and adults involved in Girl Scouting is impressive, additional volunteers are needed in order to serve all of the girls who wish to participate in the Girl Scout program.
Volunteering for Girl Scouts is fun and flexible, offering long-term and short-term opportunities. Short-term or one-time volunteers can facilitate a program or welcome girls into their business for a real-world learning experience. No matter what avenue taken as a Girl Scout volunteer, the benefits will be abundant for both the volunteer and the girl.
