Statewide Organization Supports Outstanding Assemblywoman’s Bid for Senate

Trenton, NJ -- The state’s leading advocacy group for electing women to the Legislature announced today it is endorsing Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein (D-Middlesex) in her bid to win a seat in the state Senate.  To help insure Assemblywoman Greenstein is elected to the Senate, the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey (WPCNJ) is contributing a check in the amount of $5,000 to her campaign. The announcement was made at a State House press conference this afternoon.

Linda Greenstein has been a tireless advocate for the promotion of equal rights for women and a champion of issues that affect the lives of women and their families.

WPCNJ is a multi-partisan organization that was created in 1971 to increase participation among women in the political process and build upon the political power base that women represent in the electorate.  WPCNJ has previously endorsed the Assemblywoman in her elections to the New Jersey General Assembly.

In making its recommendation, the Women's Political Caucus Board said: “Assemblywoman Greenstein has demonstrated a continual commitment to helping women in New Jersey and we are proud to endorse her.  Today, with only 7 women currently serving in the New Jersey State Senate, it is more critical than ever to elect women like Linda to higher office.”

Greenstein is running in the 14th Legislative District which consists of Cranbury, Hamilton Township, Jamesburg, Monroe Township, South Brunswick and West Windsor.
