Local Cuisine from 30 Restaurants
HIGHLANDS, NJ -- Dynamic music, committed coastal supporters and plenty of food from more than 30 area restaurants and local business will set the scene for the 12th Annual Sunset at Sandy Hook, a benefit for Clean Ocean Action (COA), Friday, October 1st. This fall event will take place at the Sea Gulls Nest Restaurant, from 6-10 p.m., at the Sandy Hook area of Gateway National Recreation Area.
The volunteers and coastal enthusiasts of Clean Ocean Action, a non-profit organization, have for more than 26 years helped protect the Atlantic coast from pollution, sea-borne trash and medical waste and the risk of proposed liquid natural gas (LNG) terminals.
The Sunset event will attract hundreds of supporters of Clean Ocean Action, including ocean enthusiasts, corporate partners and elected officials. A great opportunity for local businesses to demonstrate their support of a clean and healthy ocean, the event live music from Art Servilla: The Green Earth Troubadour and The Thom White band, and a full spectrum of food offerings, from seafood to coffee and dynamic desserts, according to Cindy Zipf, executive director of Clean Ocean Action.
“Beyond great cuisine from natural foods to fresh seafood, the Sunset benefits Clean Ocean Action's full plate of issues such as water pollution and ocean industrialization,” said Zipf.
