LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center invites families to participate in the Long Branch Community Garden Program. The garden is located at Seventh Avenue, Long Branch, across from the municipal complex/library and the Anastasia Elementary School. Programs are scheduled for Mondays through the fall from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and will include how to create and cultivate the community garden, the benefits from growing your own vegetables, and how to create healthy, delicious recipes from the garden. Activities will be available for children. Spanish translation is provided.

“We are happy to host LBC families at the Long Branch Community Garden. The program offers parents the opportunity to bond with children, develop relationships, as well as increase family literacy by learning how to cultivate vegetables and spices and how to prepare, serve and store them. The principles of family support are modeled in the Community Garden as they enhance the stability of families and the community,” stated Lisa Wilson, MSW, Executive Director.
