LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center and Jewish Family and Children Services will co-sponsor a Three Series Workshop on Financial Management on Wednesdays, June 2, 9 and 16, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Jewish Family and Children Services, 705 Summerfield Ave., Asbury Park. Speaker for all three workshops is Kimberly Cole, outreach coordinator for Novadebt, a non-profit organization that provides financial education to the public. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
Topics and dates for all workshops are as follows:
June 2 – Basic Banking – different types of bank accounts; writing checks; and tracking expenses.
June 9 – Budgeting – wants vs. needs; types of expenses; goal setting; and necessary budget changes.
June 16 – Understanding Your Credit Report – explanation of a credit report; how to read a credit report; identity theft; managing debt.
