LONG BRANCH, N.J. – April 14, 2010 - The Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center invites the community to attend “Growth and Development of Infants and Toddlers,” on Thursday, April 22, 2010, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., at the Long Branch Concordance, 279 Broadway, Suite 301, Long Branch. Light refreshments will be served.
Featured speakers are Darlene Cadigan, RN and Betsey Pepperman, LCSW of the Healthy Families Program through the Visiting Nurse’s Association of Central Jersey. They will share information to help families understand the developmental stages of their children. Topics to be covered are: safety issues, nurturing parenting, the needs of an infant, and the physical developmental stages in the first year and much more.
The Healthy Families Program works closely with community health nurses. Experienced family support workers visit expectant mothers in their last trimester of pregnancy or within 2 weeks of the birth of the infant to offer parenting assistance and community resource assistance.
