West Long Branch, NJ - Monmouth University's Energy Service Corps is currently seeking volunteers for its Earth Day celebration at Neptune Middle School. On April 22, Energy Service Corps volunteers will teach ten classes at Neptune Middle School about energy conservation and civic engagement, as part of a week-long celebration of the Earth. Volunteers need no previous teaching experience. Students and community members are encouraged to volunteer at the event and make a difference on Earth Day by teaching young people the importance of energy conservation and environmental stewardship.
Energy Service Corps is a joint project of NJ Public Interest Research Group and AmeriCorps. Based on college campuses across the state, student volunteers work to make local communities more energy efficient through education, service, and community outreach.
