HOLMDEL, NJ - The Monmouth County Park System is inviting local gardeners to Historic Longstreet Farm, 44 Longstreet Road, Holmdel on Friday, April 21 at 9 a.m., to learn about a new volunteering opportunity at the site. Starting this spring, the Park System will be training a volunteer garden team dedicated to working in the farm’s vegetable and flower garden. A living history farm, Longstreet Farm recreates life as it was in rural Monmouth County during the 1890s. Volunteers are asked to help in the garden and interact with visitors. Open to ages 14 and up.
