MIDDLETOWN, NJ - The Middletown Township Historical Society meeting on Monday March 20 at 7PM will present Arthur T. Green, president of the West Long Branch Historical Society, who will give a powerpoint talk on The History of Firefighting in Monmouth County with a focus on the Long Branch Neptune Hose Co. No. 1, the first fire company in the county. Arthur's ties to the subject are long and deep. His ancestors were not only among the founders of the Long Branch department which he now serves and were among the earliest seventeenth century settlers of the Long Branch area.

The site is the Nature Center at Poricy Park, 345 Oak Hill Road. Visitors are welcome. Refreshments are served. Why not invite a firefighter?
