Event Benefits United Way’s Work in Education, Health and Financial Stability
Farmingdale, NJ – United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties (UWMOC) hosted their annual Hearts of Gold Gala on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ.
This was the organization’s first Gala as a combined agency serving both Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Over 100 guests enjoyed an elegant dinner, live music, dancing, a silent auction, a 50/50 and a raffle for wine and jewelry. Sponsored by The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation, the event raised over $50,000 to benefit United Way’s work in education, health and financial stability—the building blocks for a good life and the foundation for a thriving, prosperous community.
United Way was proud to honor Jim DeAngelis, Vice President of Community Relations for the Lakewood BlueClaws, with the Community Partner Award; United Way board member Carol Kirsimagi with the Individual Leadership Award; and UPS with the Corporate Citizen Award. United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties values their long-standing partnerships with these individuals and companies who have truly made a difference in our community.
UWMOC thanks the honorees, generous sponsors, Gala Committee members, Board members, volunteers and attendees for making the 2016 Hearts of Gold Gala the organization’s second largest fundraiser of the year. Their passion and dedication have furthered United Way’s mission and have brought resources to those who need it most.
