LONG BRANCH, N.J.— The Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center celebrates its own “Success Story” as it concludes the 1st annual “Running With a Purpose” fundraiser with team runners as part of the novo nordisk NJ Marathon.
If the definition of success is achieving a desired outcome then the LBC has been extraordinarily successful this 2016! A new, talented Board of Trustees, enthusiastic staff, continued collaboration with community service providers at the Strengthening Families Garden Kick off & Health Fair, and valuable partnerships with marathon runners and corporate sponsors produce much needed funds and priceless relationships.
The great achievements of the Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center this year leads to Monmouth County family success in that funding and community partnerships help continue to provide engaging, educational programs and essential life skills workshops that build strong, self-reliant families in an effort to prevent child maltreatment and promote community well-being.

The 1st annual “Running with a Purpose” fundraiser exceeded expectations thanks to the selfless efforts of Andrew Richter, Dan McDevitt, Amy Bailey and Anna Kurtz, the LBC Team runners and their “Cheer Squad”. Through “Team LBC’s” willingness to volunteer, tireless training and enthusiastic encouragement to families, friends and colleagues to sponsor their run with donations on Crowdrise, the LBC received a substantial funding boost. Gratefully, the “Running With a Purpose” campaign also garnered the continued support of Sacco’s Landscape, Inc., Long Branch Covenant Church, and Monmouth University as they became “Community Partners” through generous corporate sponsorship which shows their dedication to building resilient families. Corporate Partners recognize that an investment in a stronger community ultimately fosters thriving business, vibrant real estate and overall neighborhood well-being.
Executive Director, Lisa Wilson says, “Our “Success Story” is due to exciting new partnerships and mutual relationships. Partnerships between the LBC and our extraordinary volunteer team of runners and donors, dedicated Board of Trustees, and generous corporate sponsors are lasting and fruitful because each one involved is motivated to take their part in the community because they are inspired by what the Family Success Center does for Monmouth County families.”
