Asbury Park, NJ – The MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue will be holding its annual “BULLYPALOOZA” benefit at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ to raise funds for the medical care of its bulldogs on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 1pm – 4pm. The event will allow guests to bring dogs of any breed, and to enjoy food and drinks on the patio of the Wonder Bar. Admission will be $10 per person which gets you tickets for our great raffles! All proceeds will be donated to the non-profit foundation. Persons under 21 are not allowed on the deck area near the dogs or alcohol.
The “BULLYPALOOZA” goal is to raise funds for the benefit of the bulldogs rescued by MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue through the purchase of raffle items, food and drinks.
Attendees are encouraged to bring dogs of any breed as long as the dog is healthy, leashed, well-behaved, and spayed/neutered unless a reasonable cause is provided, with proof of rabies vaccinations through tags or paperwork. The MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue is a non-profit organization of experienced volunteers with the mission of helping bulldogs in need through providing care, time and aid in finding their forever homes. The organization provides its rescue dogs with spay/neuter services and up-to-date shots and the screening of potential adopters to locate responsible and loving families. Education, assistance and follow up care is provided to individuals when determining the adoption or surrender of a bulldog.
Since 2007, MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue has placed over 500 bulldogs in loving homes. Their goal is to place between 75–125 dogs each year, based on foster home availability. Last year, veterinary bills totaled over $50,000. The average cost of veterinary care to get each rescued bulldog ready for adoption is $550. This event is to raise funds for incoming dogs and all their veterinary needs. Over 200 bulldogs and their owners attended Bullypalooza last year to help make it a success! We can only hope to have such a great turn-out this year as well!
