The Go Red For Women Luncheon is one of the premier women’s events in New Jersey focusing on cardiovascular health and wellness in women. As a cornerstone piece of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, this social-educational event focuses attention on uniting women to prevent or survive the No. 1 and No. 5 killers of women – heart disease and stroke. Nationally sponsored by Macy’s, this vibrant movement inspires women to make lifestyle changes, mobilize communities and shape policies to save lives.
Ms. Saitta brings passion and great leadership to the Go Red For Women Luncheon and is dedicated to partnering together with the American Heart Association to engage local business and community leaders in empowering women to get informed about the risks of heart disease and stroke and to make healthy lifestyle changes. She is also a heart disease survivor sharing her story to inspire others, and has been part of the Go Red For Women movement for over 10 years.
Currently serving as Chief Digital Officer at The CDM Group and iVenturesHealth, a division exclusively focused on healthcare technology, Ms. Saitta has over 20 years of technology experience. She is responsible for leading the development of commercial technology product lines, including the advancement, expansion and licensing of the company’s proprietary marking software, digital products and data intelligence solutions.
Ms. Saitta earned two BS degrees from Rutgers University and an MS in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She recently joined the Central NJ board of directors for the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association and is also on the non-profit board of WomenRising Inc. Ms. Saitta lives in Far Hills, NJ with her husband and twin children.
“It’s time to come together to improve the health of women in our community,” notes Ms. Saitta. “It’s through events such as the Garden State Go Red For Women Luncheon, that we can unite to learn more about our heart health and to help mobilize women to make healthy changes to prevent heart disease and stroke.”
Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. Heart disease and stroke kill 1 in 3 women – more than all cancers combined. The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. Women who Go Red live healthier lives.
“We have come a long way in the area of cardiovascular health in women,” observes Ms. Saitta. “But there is still a need for more research and education for women’s heart and brain health. The Garden State Go Red For Women Luncheon provides an opportunity to put our hearts into it to help prevent heart disease and stroke.”
The Go Red For Women Luncheon raises funds to support this lifesaving movement, supporting cutting-edge research, community programs and professional education focused on cardiovascular health. The Go Red For Women Luncheon is sponsored locally by Bristol-Myers Squibb, The CDM Group, and media sponsors Star 99.1FM, Magic 98.3 and WCTC 1450.
