Senator Jennifer Beck and AARP NJ presented "Caught in the Scammer's Net: The Psychology Behind ID Theft and Scams" at Seabrook, an active continuing care retirement community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, on March 1. More than 150 seniors from Seabrook and the local community attended the event.
New Jersey Attorney General John Hoffman, Director of NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Steve Lee, Senator Jennifer Beck, and AARP NJ Manager of Communications & Community Outreach Jeff Abramo discussed fraud prevention with the audience. Topics include how to spot and avoid identity theft and fraud and how seniors can protect themselves and their families.
