MIDDLETOWN, NJ - A local family owned and operated supermarket business along with the help of their customers reaches out to the community through its Charitable Giving Program entitled “Food Circus Cares.” This program was specifically created to give back to the community in which the Foodtown stores operate.
The company sponsored a register icon promotion at its six Super Foodtown stores in Monmouth County and raised $136,000 for eight local non-profit organizations, six local food pantries and eight local military organizations this past year. Over the past decade the Charitable Giving Program has donated over $1 million to needy organizations. Lou Scaduto, Jr., President, is especially pleased with the outcome of the Program this year.
“Helping our community and our local families has always been important to our families,” says Mr. Scaduto, “It’s about making sure the money we raise along with the help of our generous customers stays in our local communities where we are fortunate to operate our business.”
