RED BANK, NJ – The highly visible, Red Kettle Campaign will officially launch on, November 13, 2015 for The Salvation Army Red Bank Corps. The Salvation Army hopes to raise $100K to support Christmas programs and services within our service area, throughout the entire year.

 “The work done here cannot be done without your contributions this season. Please consider helping those in need this Christmas season,” says Lieutenant Brennen Hinzman, Corps Commanding Officer of The Salvation Army Red Bank Corps.

Last year, over 1,500 people received assistance from food insecurity, 650 households received holiday assistance for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and over 500 children received Christmas gifts, which usually includes apparel and footwear, from the Angel Tree Tag Program. Additional services included various children’s programs, social services and over 400 meals were provided through our Bread of Life Community Kitchen: all from The Salvation Army. This holiday season is expected to be one of the busiest yet. Monies raised during the Red Kettle Campaign are used to sustain the vital programs and services that help people in need in their daily struggle.

The Salvation Army will host its first Red Kettle Kickoff Dinner, by invitation, on November 12, 2015 and host its 11th Annual Red Kettle Classic Basketball Tournament on Friday, December 4, 2015 at its Jane H. Booker Community Center, better known as “The Gym,” at 6 PM.
