UPPER FREEHOLD – Are you a "Taphophile" – a person interested in cemeteries and gravestone art?  If so, be sure to come to the Monmouth County Park System’s Historic Walnford, Walnford Road, Upper Freehold, from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday, October 31 & November 1 for “Here lies…” Historical Headstones.  

See skilled craftsman Tom Kelleher of Old Sturbridge Village carve a traditional slate headstone. Afterward, create a facsimile of a historical marker during a hands-on activity and take home a list of local historic cemeteries to visit. Admission and parking are free.
