HOLMDEL, NJ — The Monmouth County Park System will host its Harvest Home Festival from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, September 27 at Historic Longstreet Farm, Holmdel. Reminiscent of an old-fashioned fair from the 1890s, this event features wagon rides, games and live entertainment. There will also be ongoing Victorian-era craft and agricultural demonstrations.
The Chorus of the Atlantic from the Red Bank Area Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society will perform at 1:30 p.m. by the barn at the entrance to the farm. www.redbankchorus.org
Visitors are invited to join in the spirit of the festival by entering one of the many competitions. Prize-winning categories include vegetables, canning, condiments, baked goods, embroidery, quilting, rug hooking and more.
