COLTS NECK, NJ — The Monmouth County Park System is busy finalizing the details for its celebration of Dorbrook Recreation Area’s 30th anniversary on Saturday, August 8. Held from 1-5 p.m. this event will feature a junior ranger program, dance party, soccer shoot out, home run derby, touch-a-truck area and much more. Highlights include cupcake decorating from 1:30-2:30 p.m. inside the Visitor Center and party hat decorating from 2:45-3:45 p.m. in the Program Building. (Both offered while supplies last.) Other family-friendly activities include a scavenger hunt, games and children’s crafts. Be sure to catch demonstrations of programs for preschoolers at 1:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. There will be cake and a ceremony at 4 p.m.
