The free, four-hour “boot camp” program is designed for adults who are considering going back to school, earning a college degree, completing a professional training program or earning a credential in health care or social services.
The program, offered in both Neptune and Lincroft, covers topics such as computer literacy, test taking, time management and “how to survive college in the 21st century.”
Comprehensive guidance is also offered to those interested in enrolling in a Brookdale degree program or career training course.
“Boot camp” programs will be offered at Brookdale’s Neptune Higher Education Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 14 and 28. Programs will be offered on the college’s Lincroft campus from 6 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 3 and 11. Additional programs will be offered through October. Pre-registration is required.
The July 15 information session will be held in Brookdale’s Warner Student Life Center, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft. Parking is in lots 6 and 7. For more information contact Carl Wiltsee at 732-224-2526 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The “boot camp” is a part of Brookdale’s Encore Plus 50 program, which is funded by a grant from the American Association of Community Colleges.
